Young Kon Cho is a partner at Yoon & Yang. His main practice area is criminal law.
He has built up a significant track record in major corporate criminal cases, cases on the Capital Markets Act, including securities, and special crime, violent crime, and public security investigations during his time at various levels of the Public Prosecutors’ Offices around the country. After serving as the Chief of the Human Rights Bureau at the Ministry of Justice in 2009, Chief Prosecutor of Violent Crimes Department and Criminal Department at the Supreme Public Prosecutors’ Office from 2009 to 2011, Chief Prosecutor of the Ulsan District Prosecutors’ Office, the Daegu District Prosecutors’ Office and the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office from 2011 to 2013, he was elected as a Managing Partner of Yoon & Yang LLC in 2014.

Based on his extensive experience in civil and criminal cases of major corporations and other high-profile cases in various areas, including tax, finance, antitrust & competition, patent, and capital markets, he provides comprehensive legal service that leverages not only investigation and trial response with forensic technique, but also his strength in other forms of dispute resolution, such as arbitration and mediation. In addition, he worked closely with numerous domestic and foreign corporations to provide in-depth legal advice and investigation response in a wide range of areas, including the abuse of market position, unfair trade practices, and business combination.
