Do Hyung Kim is an Expert Advisor (Head of the Environment Regulation Response Center) at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice areas include environment, ESG, and EHS.
Based on his expertise in the field of environmental engineering (doctorate in engineering) and environment-related laws (LL.D.), Mr. Kim is the sole expert in Korea within the environment sector who is capable of offering advice on relevant laws and regulations as well as technologies and industries. He started his career at the National Institute of Environmental Research and accumulated experience at relevant institutions such as the Military Environment Research Center and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute, during which he handled a wide range of matters pertaining to the Ministry of Environment’s policies and R&D projects. Thereafter, he worked for Yulchon LLC where he advised on environment-related legal matters and underwent environment due diligence related to M&As. At present, Mr. Kim is actively involved in providing expertise as a member of the Environment Regulatory Group of the Economic Regulation and Innovation T/F and the Water Industry Fostering Advisory Group of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and also serves as an expert advisor for the Korean Society of Environmental Engineers and as a technology level assessment expert (related to the field of environment & meteorology) for the Ministry of Science and ICT.
