Changkwon Kim is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice areas include intellectual property, bankruptcy and corporate restructuring.
After completing legal training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, Mr. Kim started his public career as an apprentice judge at the Dongbu Branch of the Seoul District Court. Mr. Kim then went to serve various positions, including a judge at the Seoul High Court, Seoul Central District Court, Jeju District Court, Bucheon Branch of Incheon District Court, and Seoul Western District Court; a research judge at the Supreme Court; and a presiding judge at the Changwon District Court. He retired from public office as a presiding judge at the Seoul Bankruptcy Court.

Mr. Kim is well-versed in intellectual property right disputes based on his experience accumulated as a research supervisor of the Intellectual Property Right T/F Group while serving as a research judge at the Supreme Court. In particular, he has ample experience in dealing with cases involving disputes and trade secrets of pharmaceutical, bio, and healthcare companies, and has generated positive outcomes in many cases. He went on to serve as a presiding judge at the Bankruptcy Division of the Changwon District Court and a presiding judge at the Seoul Bankruptcy Court, where he accumulated experience and know-how on legal doctrines related to insolvency cases.
